zurh's blogI am new to debian, let alone *nix I have currently been running debian 4.0 and i have been having a problem getting my machine to hook up to the internet using a dial up modem. I have installed a couple of programs like some kind of pppoe and some other type of ppp software. This did not seem to help me. I have looked at the manpage but did not understand it correctly. I need some help maybe a good place to start looking.Im sure it is a lucent win modem. And im pretty sure that my machine is just not installing or finding the driver.I am new to the whole switching to linux deal and still use to how simple xp is.I still am not sure on how the whole system runs and works. But i enjoy the challenge. |
