Booting Up From DVD Hangs on HP Proliant DL380 G4 Server

Trying to install Debian 6.0.4 amd64 on:
HP Proliant Server DL380 G4 Server
Xeon 3.0GHZ/800/2M
8GB PC2-3200
2 x 36.3GB RAID 0 with HP Smart Array 6i Direct Attached Storage

I recently acquired this HP Proliant DL380 Server and I cannot get the install moving to install. This is believed to a problem with the RAID controller. As it appears Windows Server 2008 doesn't have a problem with getting the drives and editing partitions.

When trying to boot from the Debian 6.0.4 amd64 it just hangs after the first line from booting from off the DVD. I am thinking of taking the RAID and making it RAID 5 as the drives are only 36.3GB. What I believe it the problem is the installer DVD cannot see RAID controller. I think the issue here is getting a boot RAID disk to load before booting off the Debian install DVD. I do not know where to being to make one at this point.

I am not new to the Linux scene we've been using Linux since 3/2005 and been playing with a good handful of distributions over the years and found Debian to be most satisfying. I have been trying to install Debian on this server for a few days now and no luck in the boot process.

Does anyone have any ideas or pointers?

Thanks in advance,
Doc

Update on hardware
HP Proliant Server DL380 G4 Server
Dual Processor Xeon Dual Core 3.0GHZ/800/2M
8GB PC2-3200
2 x 36.3GB SCSI RAID 0 with HP Smart Array 6i Direct Attached Storage

Still searching out information which can help, but I think I am just going to end up at dead ends with this. Perhaps the hardware is too old?

Thanks,
Doc

[SOLVED] Here's the Solution

Reconfigure your RAID drives, delete them and recreate them.

Download the NetInstaller for your hardware (i386, amd64, etc.)

Boot from the NetInstaller CD

And you are well on your way.

I will report back any other issues if they come up during the install or after system is finally loaded.

Hope this helps others as this took days narrow down.
