Sound issues

I get not return for my sound card. Why?

root@Floyd:/home/rock# alsaconf
bash: alsaconf: command not found

root@Floyd:/home/rock# alsa reload

Not sure what it happening here.
Sound is not muted.
User is added in sound group

I am totally lost. If you need more info let me know. If you have an idea as to what is going on here, HELP!
