HAL and ACPI on IBM R40e

Hello
My laptop is IBM R40e. I installed Lenny on my laptop. Every time I
start my computer, when loading ACPI modules and hald, it will take my
on or two minutes. Is it normal?

No it isn't, try to post your dmesg output to detect exactly the problem.
