Raid 1 on HP DL320 G5

I would like to set up Debian 4.0 on a HP Proliant DL320G5. The server has 2x 250GB SATA drives which are configured as Raid 1 (fully functional according to controller). When installing Etch I am offered to drives instead of the Raid 1 logical drive. RH9 recognizes the Raid. Any ideas?

did u solve the problem? i got the exact same problem here atm, would be great if you can post if you could solve it and how or if you still have the problem.

No luck yet. Also HP not helpful. I tried RH, works immediately. Will give it another Devian try with SoftRAID or switch to RH.
