need B&W Laser Printer suggestionHi, I am looking for a decent, reliable & cheap black and white laser printer. I do not need it to be fast or fancy, just to work well without problems and do a decent job printing text. A used model is fine. Oh, and of course it needs to work with CUPS. Visit www.linuxprinting.org. I still don't believe you can get a half-decent printer for under $350. I bought my dad an HP-1320N for about $800 - the same printer without the network interface is about $370 (but I wanted anyone to be able to switch on their computer and print without having to fire up a print server).
Oh... there were a few Lexmark models with ethernet and PostScript emulation - they would be perfect. The only problem: they're not easy to get - i guess at close to $400 people go for the $150 inkjets or the $300 laserprinter with USB and WinDos/OSX only drivers.
