How to stop starting kmail automatically

See spam posts on this site? If so, please don't reply to the spam! Instead, just report the URL to the webmaster.

After installing KDE and firsttime using Kmail, after login in, Kmail is automatically starting (but not retrieving email). This is not what I want.
What I was told, that in ~/.kde/Autostart shortcuts could be found for programs to start automatically. I hoped to found here a shortcut to start Kmail. But all I found was a file with the name ".directory". It contained the following information
[Desktop Entry]
Type=Directory
Name=Autostart
Name[af]=Outomatiese begin
Name[ar]=~some unreadable text (arabic??)~
...

Does anybody know how to stop starting Kmail automatically??
