uploading jpeg to ebay from Etch

I tried to upload my jpeg pix for a sale on ebay, and after a few tries I asked ebay IT folks why I can't from Etch. The reply was that ebay users need to use WindozeXP, Vista or Mac X. Do I need to be an active Wine user to fake my way through a jpeg upload? Or is their a sneaky procedure to make ebay think my Etch operating computer is running XP?

If you use Firefox (or Mozilla) you can go to Tools->User Agent Switcher and select 'Internet Explorer'. This works for sites that only want to check the browser type and version. Since Microsoft aren't shy about spying on its customers, real Microsoft software can reveal numerous other things about your system.
