etch package on sargeHello, I have a server running Debian sarge, which for various reasons I don't want to upgrade to etch quite yet. But I'd like to run karrigell, an etch package. Question: can I do this? If so, how do use apt to do so? Thanks, lPrentice |
Re: etch package on sarge
I think you can't do without upgrading. It needs python >= 2.4 which is not there with sarge :-(
You could try one thing though.
www.backports.org or another site may be giving python2.4 backported to sarge. Then you can get karrigell from source and install but its a long shot.
