HP DC 5700 Microtower PC - Install fails

Hi, I work in a software developement company,
my company decided to abandon Windows and go to Debian
we have two types of workstations
dc5700 micro tower and
dx2200 micro tower
the dx2200 workstations are just fine
but when i try installing Debian Etch on the
dc5700 mashines the install fails, just at the end of the first screen
i gives a message like :
created root brigde _sbpci_ at irq0
i tried to google the problem but the search brought back no results
as of solving the problem.
can anyone help.

Has your problem seems to be irq related you may try kernel boot option like "irqpoll" and/or "routeirq" (without the quotes). There's many irq related boot options that could virtually solve your problem, you can download a good summary here : www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/gregkh/lkn/lkn_pdf/ch09.pdf

You can also try booting another distro with a newer kernel (like a weekly Lenny build or Sidux), result may be different.

Just try "install" or "installgui acpi=off" option (without quote) it should works...
