Pleased with DebianI've tried about a half a dozen distros and I came back to Debian twice. That should tell me something shouldn't it. Yep, I'm pleased with it. I know as a "newbie" (which is not a word I like as we should be doing something new every week of our lives whether it is learning a new OS or picking up a guitar for the first time) that I'll sometimes run across know it all jerks, but thankfully they are few. I've come across some fine administrators, real "gurus", and others that were just good folk. And that is in the world of Ubuntu, openSuse, Fedora, and a few other distros I've come across. Debian feels solid to me. It doesn't feel like I am walking on broken pieces of ice across a lake like the latest version of windows did. As to that one, I understand that they are working their heads off for a new distribution quite rapidly as so many people like me have complained about it. I'm not saying this for Debian's sake, but for my own. This feels more solid than any version of windows I have ever used, which goes back to dos. It's a good feeling.
