Installer can't find dvd-rom

I can'n install debian (the last stable, 4.0r2) becouse installer, after selection language, can't find dvd-rom :(
I load with DVD.
I have IDE DVD-ROM Pioneer DVR-111(D?), but I changed frimware to 111L (for lableflash activaton). So, maybe this is the reason.
Maybe possible to select the driver (or drive) manually?

I can't imagine why it fails after selecting the language. Maybe you can press [alt][F2] to get a second console and you can load drivers yourself from there.

You can also press [alt][F3] and [alt][F4] to look at some messages to see if there is any clue what is going on.

It is also possible that there is some hardware which is misbehaving and you need to set certain options when you boot the installer; does the installer always hang at the same place?

Installer can't find dvd-rom

Yes, it always hang after selecting the language and all localization options (country and keyboard layout). After this, it displays "searching cd-rom"... afrer about 5 minutes message disappears and then, after 5 minutes (or sometimes more) displays "can't find cd-rom, if you have floppy disc...".
But my DVD-ROM is usual IDE DVD-RW Pioner. How can I say this to installer?

If you can get that console ([alt][F2]) before selecting a language, you can try to load the drivers you need for the CD. Hopefully all you need is the "isofs" or "udf" driver:

modprobe isofs
modprobe udf

Then switch back to the installer ([alt][F1]) and try again.
