I installed Kexi, but did not have it in my lists of software

Apt-Get Package Installation Issues

I run Debian Etch on an i386 machine.
today I tried to install Kexi, so that I could look into a file by the format .mdb (MS database). after installation, including all the recommended by-content the synaptic manager offered, I could find Kexi in neither my Applications menu, nor as a right-click option under "open with".
I uninstalled, and re-installed... nothing new...

I just installed it on my machine running lenny and it shows up in the office menu.
