Apt-Get Package Installation Issues

In Debian Etch apt-get update, apparently works fine (ie no error messages), but it produces some messages like these:

Ign http://security.debian.org etch/updates/main Packages/DiffIndex

Ign http://ftp.debian.org etch/contrib Packages/DiffIndex

Which is the reason of these "ignored" lines?

Searching a bit after these lines I have observed them in posts related to apt-get errors, but I have not found an explanation yet.

If it is well known issue, could you send me a pointer?
