modprobe: FATAL: Error running install command for binfmt_0000

Hello!
I would appreciate any help I can get on this subject.
Got a comupter running debian and at boot it halts at this msg

"modprobe: FATAL: Error running install command for binfmt_0000".

Any idé what I can do to get past this? and get a working computer again.

This could be due to sata drive not being recognised on some systems.
Which flavor/distro are you using?
I heard from somebody that sometimes after installing on reboot the drive numbers change. Try editing the boot option and see if it helps.
