not enough space to install ATI driver

Greetings to everybody.
I'm new to Linux but I managed to install Debian Etch on my Dell Vostro 200.
For about a week, I've had a hard time configuring onboard NIC (Intel 82562v-2).
After solving the problem with a struggle that continued days, I have another problem.

When I tried installing ATI driver after building Debian/etch specific packages, the installation just failed with an error that I couldn't understand.

With no available space, I don't know what to do to make it work.

Another question I have is that how do I know whether I've successfully installed all drivers for my devices or not. (As Windows Device Manager shows yellow ! mark when you need to install a driver for a device)

Any help/advice would be appreciated and thanks for reading.
