I can't get X to work correctly.Ok,well, I've been trying for a while to get my debian install working. I have ubuntu installed and it works fine with X. I try and install debian and I get an error: http://la.gg/v/Photo0188.jpg/ . I've messed around with my xorg.conf file several times. I've just put ubuntu's xorg.conf in debian but that didn' work. I've messed around with my refresh rates(both horizontal and vertical). I can't think of anything else to do. My monitor is an lg Flatron W2252TQ. I have a nvidia graphics card. Here is my ubuntu's xorg.conf: http://codepad.org/5BcmLFlM . Here is my Debian's original xorg.conf file: http://codepad.org/fSSKqZTu . Here's some info on my monitor: http://www.lge.com/products/model/detail/w2252tq_1_6.jhtml . If you need any more information, I'll provide it. |
Re: I can't get X to work correctly.
Is the nvidia driver available on the Debian system? The conf you show has the nv driver. You may need to install the module that matches your kernel. That's the most obvious difference that I'm noticing, not sure if it's the final answer.
