Debian Etch 4.0r3 NetInstall cannot sense DHCP

I have 4 PCs. Mostly Windows. I have also LinkSys Wireless-G Broadband Router w/ DHCP activated.

In one PC, I have multiple partition. I am trying Linux. I have looked upon Debian and Ubuntu.

I tried to install Debian Etch 4.0r3 NetInstall, but failed. It cannot sense the DHCP.

I successfully installed Ubuntu Desktop 8.04.1. It can sense the DHCP. It has internet connection. And also updated.

But failed in Ubuntu Alternate w/ LTSP. Maybe the same problem as Debian Etch 4.0r3 NetInstall.

Are there some settings I missed?

Re: Debian Etch 4.0r3 NetInstall cannot sense DHCP

Are you trying to install via a wire connection or the wireless?
If you're trying with wireless it's probably best if you manually configure it rather than rely on the installer to ask you all the right questions. Of course you will need to have a driver (and possibly also a firmware blob) for the wireless gizmo in the installer's kernel ...
