Hi All,
well that is basically it.After a fresh install of Debian I had just installed the nvidia-drivers. then hit Ctrl+Alt+backspace and the screen went black. Ctrl+Alt+f1 gives no response. How can i remedy this ? I am currently in ubuntu with a screen res of 1400 by 900. So my hardware is working.
The first issue you need to solve is to recover the capability to swith to terminal mode, then you might be able to modify your driver configuration.
Some other users in this forum link this issue (ctrl-alt-Fx not working) to a wrong keymap configuration. Example : http://www.debianhelp.org/node/4229
