Just installed a new Debian system I've got a serious problem.
While trying to do full installation without using a shell,
wich not causes any problems at all,
I have tried to install gcc the same way.
The compiler seems to be installed, but something seems to working wrong.
It is impossible to compile even the simplest C-Programs,
where one time gcc tells me he is not able to produce exetubable programs
another ld is telling me that a object file is missing (ctrl1.0 , in the simplest case)
Shure, it would be possible to cross-compile, but I would be happy to do solve this problem 'the easy way' and I am not willing to run in more problems because I'm not convenient with the directory structure on the debian system.
I do not think this is an purely individual question !
This problem has arrised on a base installation.
No other actions where taken beside installing the base system from DVD, installing kde-packages via synaptic, installing (nearly) gcc/ld via synaptic. So the system is absolutly in no way modified !
Maybe someone can give me a hint.
Even if you are thinking the problem is baed on some 'silly' thing like wrong paths: Tell me !
It should not be the case, because I had not changed anything,
but who knows....
