Windows Media Player...Ok well let me start out by saying that i NEVER ever use windows media player but I downloaded a program the other day that needs it. So I figured I might as well download the newest version of WMP. I downloaded it and installed it and then tried to run the it and got the error message "The file wmp.dll has a version number of 10.0.0.3646 where 11.0.5721.5230 was expected." I tried re installing it but that did nothing. I then googled it and everything I read said to run "c:\windows\inf\unregmp2.exe /UpdateWMP" which I did but that didn't fix it at all. Can someone please help me figure out what the problem is here? I'm using windows XP Professional on a Dell laptop. |
Re: Windows Media Player...
Ah, get real. Do you seriously expect Debian GNU/Linux users to be remotely interested in helping get Windows Media Player working? Try a Windows forum instead; there are millions of them out there.
