Install for amd64 Turion X2 asus A6T notebook

I tried to install debian on an ASUS A6T, which succeded only partly.

The DVD's wouldn't work due to an error in the MD5 check when using expert boot. I first used the 1st CD iso, but couldn't get my network up and running, after that the Netinstall iso. The network gets configured, but I can't get any traffic ... as the network gets setup as ipv6, which is not supported by my own network, nor by my ISP. I get a base system (period) but I can't get programs, kernel images, or whatever I require.

What should/can I do to install a system and get a kernel with ipv4 support.

Carl

P.s. used :
DVD debian-31r3-amd64-binary-1.iso
CD debian-testing-amd64-binary-1.iso || debian-testing-amd64-netinst.iso
