snmpd not running after reboot/restart

Forums:

Hello,

I'm using Cacti monitor for testing purposes.
The server is a Debian squeeze, latest release, in a virtualBox. So I'm
allowed to taker snapshots.
Installing snmpd resolves in the service to run.
After a reboot or a /etc/init.d/snmpd restart, the service fails to
restart (snmtrapd is able to run following the configuration)!!

Here a some logs:
###
root@debian:/home/dorian# ps aux |grep snmp

Could you suplly me with the a known fix for this bug? (I'm unable to
find anybody facing the same issue)
What file, log, any config should I provide. I'm looking forward for a
diligent directive since this testing is for inside course presentation
arising mid june.

Thanks, Dorian
