crypttab not honoring keyfile?

Forums:

I have two encrypted volumes. The first one holds / and /tmp. The second is a raid 10 array that holds /home /usr /var & /swap.

crypttab file:
sdb5_crypt UUID=7901d644-d0c4-47c0-a314-962279da0f19 none luks
md0_crypt UUID=de5af335-40f1-4dad-b49c-902550cf81bb /root/keyfile luks

sdb5_crypt asks for a password as expected but so does md0_crypt. cryptsetup luksOpen /dev/md0 -d /root/keyfile md0_crypt works.

The distribution is Debian Wheezy 7.1 amd64. Anyone have any ideas why my install won't use /root/keyfile to unlock /dev/md0?

Running update-initramfs -uv fixed this problem.
