This is likely a configuration issue in one of 2 possible places.

The first place to check is in KDE's System Settings, under Hardware -> Power Management, and check the top Energy Saving Settings settings. There are options there for Button events handling that you'll want to double-check and/or tweak to see if that solves the problem.

The other place this can be configured is in the power settings portion of your computer's BIOS setup program. You may have to check/change/tweak things there. Exactly how to do that and what options you have are wholly dependent on which of the many types and versions of BIOS your computer has.

thanks
