Forums:

Money's short, so I am running an old i386 box and a rtl8188cu wifi usb plug from Hong Kong.

I can't execute the binary file. Do I need to make a new kernel with the binary file part of it? Is it part of a wpa_supplicant setup?

How do a use rtl8192cufw.bin to use my rtl8188cu wifi usb?

Look at https://wiki.debian.org/rtl819x

You may need to temporarily connect by cable to configure your wifi.

rtl819x.bin

I used firmware-linux-nonfree_0.36+wheezy.1_all.deb and when I upgraded to 7.3, it works perfect!
