dri with radeon x200Hi,I'm using debian testing on my laptop that has x200 graphics chipset. With the ati proprietary drivers, 3D acceleration is working but those drivers don't support AIGLX, so I would like to use free radeon drivers. The problem is that I cannot get dri working with the free drivers. The only error message in |

I guess that the radeon driver just doesn’t support DRI on your chipset yet.
This only works up to R350/R400, IIRC.

Hm, not sure what you are trying to say: do you mean that your chipset should
have DRI?
If that is the case, then have you should take a closer look which chipset is
marked as „2D only“.
If that is not the case, just ignore this mail.

I also have a laptop with this chipset. On the DRI wiki there is a page
about it: http://dri.freedesktop.org/wiki/Radeon200M
At present, if I need 3D acceleration I use the ATI driver.

What is the output of

and
LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose glxinfo
?
Did you replace the libGL from fglrx?

Dear Andras Lorincz,
next time, please also post your answer in the newsgroup.
In your log /var/log/Xorg.0.log there is no line saying
"Direct rendering enabled"
So there should be a line saying "Direct rendering disabled" and some
explaining text around it.
What is it saying?
Regards,
Jörg-Volker.
