Hello.
Is there any application for kde similar to this? I think that it would be
nice for new users (without administrator experience).

Description: GNOME application that manages software updates
This is the GNOME software update manager. It checks for updates made
available by Debian and third parties running Debian package
repositories, and lets the user choose which to install.
.
Also included is a nice application, called "Software Properties",
which lets you setup the sources from which your software packages
will be acquired, and their cryptographic keys - by editing the
/etc/apt/sources.list file, and managing the APT keyring.

Thanks.

default printer of the lp command?
Hi Debian KDE users,
I'm wondering what's the interaction between the printer configuration
of KDE and the lp command. Even after I changed the default printer
in Control Center > Peripherals > Printers, an lp command without
the destination specified, e.g.,
$ lp mydoc.ps
sends the job to a different printer. I use CUPS and /usr/bin/lp
comes from the cupsys-client package. I'm using the testing
distribution of Debian.

I compiled KDE4 on Debian SID. There are several tutorials on how to do this.
Have a look at:
http://developer.kde.org/build/trunk.html
http://techbase.kde.org/Getting_Started/Build/Unstable_Version
Basically KDE4 looks like KDE3 right now. The Oxygen stuff is not enabled by
default. It is in svn, but you have to check it out and compile it seperately
(I haven't done so yet).
Greetings,
Michael

No I've got KDE4 sources from SVN.
Now it's all right : Two library were missing x11proto-xext-dev and
libxtst-dev
Thanks to Michael Thaler for this link :
http://techbase.kde.org/Getting_Started/Build/Unstable_Version#Troubleshooting_2
I have allready compiled kdelibs, kdepimlibs, kdebase, kdegraphics and
kdemultimedia.
I'm going to see KDE4 !
