guilty until proven innocentWoohoo! Yeehaw! Dubbyah's winnin' his shoot-out. Screw due process - let the accused prove their innocence: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070221/ap_on_go_su_co/detainees_lawsuits I can imagine how the process goes: The problem is that you cannot prove a negative unless you can prove the truth of a mutually exclusive case. For example, if asked to prove that you're not female (and assuming you're not) all you have to do is drop your pants. Now let's walk into the Los Alamos labs and nab the first slinky-eyed person and throw him in prison accusing him of being a spy. How do you prove you aren't a spy? You can't - because not being a spy means there is no evidence that you are a spy so your evidence consists of presenting something which is non-existent... see a problem with that? Same goes for people accused of terrorism or aiding and abetting terrorism - if you have some evidence against them, present it to a real court and convince the jurors. All Dubbyah has are Star chambers - but they're good because they don't take long to come up with a verdict. |
Star Chambers have a long history of justice.

"You don't have many suspects who are innocent of a crime. That's contradictory. If a person is innocent of a crime, then he is not a suspect."
