can't access some websites like hotmail.com, usps.comI have debian 3.1 r4 installed on the gateway machine. I also have firewall and tinyproxy installed. I can access websites like google.com, yahoo.com, etc. via LAN. But I can't access some website like hotmail.com, usps.com via LAN. But the gateway machine has no problem in accessing hotmail.com, usps.com. All other computers connect to a Linksys router which connects to the gateway computer. I use DSL. I have no clue as to where to look for a solution. Any help would be appreciated. |
More information needed
Hmm, sounds like a pickle. What exactly happens when you try to access those sites? What sort of messages do you get (if any?)

A tidy house is the sign of a stolen computer.
fixed tinyproxy
I found out that it's caused by tinyproxy which filters out hotmail.com, usps.com by default even though I didn't specify any filter file in tinyproxy.conf.
MTU size too big
Seems I still have the problem of not being able to accessing some website from other computers rather than the gateway.
I found the solution here:

It says the MTU size is too big.
