mplayer+cvidix

I am using mplayer+cvidix to watch movies on TV, but I have one problem.
There are black bars on the top and bottom of the TV screen and Monitor.
Black bars are not from the player, like in watching 16:9 movie on 4:3 screen.
The graphic card (in text mode) is not using these parts of the screen to
show picture. I don't know how to remove these black bars.
Graphic card is Radeon 8500, TV is conected via S-Video, Distribution is
Debian 3.1 testing. Please help.
