LightScribe CD Label MakerI see LightScribe is now available for Linux. Anybody tried it yet? I'm in the market for a drive and figure I might as well get one that supports LS. |
Re: LightScribe CD Label Maker
I am using Sidux and installed LaCie to use my Lightscribe. I used the indications for Ubuntu and it worked anyhow. It is not my intention to deviate anybody from debianhelp, but, I'm not sure if to copy their notes from their website would be right to do, then I'm giving the URL, so anybody can check it, and perhaps to improve it for debianhelp itself: http://onlyubuntu.blogspot.com/2008/05/howto-install-lightscribe-in-ubuntu.html
I also used this icon to edit the KMenu
Re: LightScribe CD Label Maker
Forgot to mention that it works pretty good. Just that before "printing" the image labels on the CD, you have to use another program (Krita, o Kolourpaint, whatever you are used to) to edit them, because LaCie doesn't have editing options, just printing.
