Menu items ADEPT disabled

Hello specialists,

I run Debian/Lenny (testing) on my system. I have installed ADEPT as package manager for updating packages.
However all menu items in the "Edit" and "View" menu are disabled. Also changes in the settings are not stored.

I run ADEPT-Manager with kde-su. The store password option in kde-su is not working also.

Any ideas?
