Desktop Preferences and Gnome Terminal now starting after rebbot.

Tags:

I rebooted recently and now have the Desktop Preferences and a Gnome terminal starting up everytime. I've looked in sessions > startup, rrconf and browsed around init.d, but I cant seem to find what's causing these two to load.

Im using Debian Etch, kernal 2.6.18-4-686, gnome 2.14.3.

Its probably something obvious, I cant see it and need some help please.

Apps at startup

Check file ~/.gnome2/session and see if those applications show up there.

If so, you probably saved your default session with those two apps running. Then you just have to save again the session without those apps, either using gnome-session-properties or by checking the appropriate box on your next logout.

Otherwise, check files in ~/.config/autostart/ : this is the place where non-session-managed programs at startup go.
