1. LVM and RAID. 2. GRUB not recognizing windowsI am installing debian and have two questions/problems. 1. How exactly do you setup RAID when choosing LVM? What I did was change both the physical drives to RAID and did not change the options for LVM, which only appears on one drive. Is this correct? 2. I have windows installed on this system on 2 seperate drives running a RAID0 which is controlled by the NVIDIA software RAID. I guess its worth mentioning, reading from other posts, that these drives appear as 2 seperate drives on the debian install. The problem I am having is that GRUB did not detect windows upon my initial install. When the system rebooted after install it went straight into windows, even though the GRUB was installed in the MBR. I then switched the order the drives are read in and now GRUB comes up, but of course only gives me option to load debian or the single user option. I have tried to go into the GRUB directory in /boot, but it is not there. I have read some of the grub installation manual, but am not exactly sure what I need to be doing at this point. Also, after trying to install debian a few more times, it does not give me the option to load GRUB, but only LILO. I apologize if I have not provided enough info, but I am not familiar with linux at this level. Thanks, Carlos |
