gnome doesn't start evolution-alarm-notify

How do I make gnome load evolution-alarm-notify upon login, so my appointments show up on the screen and my mail notification applet work with it's evolution integration?
I can find no such program!

Also evolution goes immediately offline as soon as I start it.

(debian etch)

partial answer

Well, I think I found the answer to why evolution goes off line as soon as I start it:
If you remove the network manager and it's applet, evolution behaves as expected.
I don't know why this is but as soon as I removed those two packages, everything worked.

I am still not able to load evolution-alarm-notify on login. If someone has the answer...

Same Problem

I think this is the same problem; I'm posting to help troubleshoot...

Debian Etch (2.6.18-5-686)
Evolution (2.6.3):can't play
the new mail alert sound (all other sound apps work perfectly).

Here's what I get when running gstreamer-properties:

(gstreamer-properties:17209): GnomeUI-WARNING **: While connecting to session manager:
Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based authentication failed.
gstreamer-properties-Message: Skipping unavailable plugin 'artsdsink'

gstreamer-properties-Message: Skipping unavailable plugin 'qcamsrc'
gstreamer-properties-Message: Skipping unavailable plugin 'esdmon'

Any ideas? TIA!

Re: Same problem

Sorry, I cannot understand how that can be related!...
Any tips?
Here is why: I don't think it is because of a sound problem, I think the problem should be a missing package relate to evolution (which I could not find) or a miss configuration in evolution.
Am I missing something?!...
