Help Using the Site

debianHELP has a series of "user roles" or access levels. Not only do we rely on users to generate the vast majority of the site's content, but also to help manage the site.

This web page (which will hopefully be kept current and up-to-date Smile will describe the various roles/access levels.

Authenticated User
This role is granted automatically upon registering with the site and completing the e-mail check. This role gives you full access to all normal site functions.

The purpose of this page(s) is to give you some ideas on how to create a book for the web site.

Books are a heirarchy -- think of them like your file system.

At the top you have the "root" -- the book's title. Once you create a new book title you can the create as many web pages "below" that title as you want to.

In addition to web pages created "below" (meaning in vertical depth) the root, pages can also spread out horizontally. Again, think of the book's structure as synonomous to your computer's file system.

Here's a rule of thumb:

Book titles should only be created for something "longer" than, say, 5 or 10 web pages. (Unlike this "book". Smile
